Jack provides production finance and business affairs consulting services for animated and live-
action content production companies.
Jack has worked on numerous pre- and post-merger, acquisition, and restructuring initiatives, including integration initiatives for The Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox and FX.
Jack helped secure $250+ million in production services and Canadian original content provincial and federal tax credits spanning 18+ seasons of television.
As Business Affairs Manager for NBCUniversal International subsidiary Lark Productions, Jack was responsible for managing all matters pertaining to business affairs, finance and legal affairs. Canadian content series include The Real Housewives of Toronto and Motive.
While working for Bardel Entertainment, Jack supported marketing, structuring and executing the cross-border acquisition of Bardel Entertainment by Rainbow S.p.A. The studio produced animated content for clients including Adult Swim, DreamWorks, Disney, Nickelodeon and Warner Bros. In addition to Business Affairs, Jack served as Production Supervisor on the animated series Teen Titans Go! and coordinated the development of Danny Antonucci’s unreleased series Snot Rocket for Teletoon. Series also include Rick & Morty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, All Hail King Julien, Puss In Boots, and many more.
Jack launched DefiEnt Digital Media in 2011. The web domain, initially intended as a vehicle for distributing original content, was acquired for promotion of artists affiliated with T.I.’s Atlanta-based Grand Hustle Records. Jack promoted and produced live events in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Denver. Co-produced music videos for indie electronic artists The White Panda and Minnesota Dubstep. Events/venues include The Key Club on Sunset, EDC Las Vegas, and Redrocks Amphitheater.
Jack is a Doctor of Law (J.D.) with a specialty in Intellectual Property Law and received his degree from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law where he was a dean’s scholarship recipient every semester. Jack earned his M.B.A. from University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a B.A. in Film Studies from University of Colorado, Boulder.
Jack currently works for Skydance Animation where he is responsible for Production Accounting on Brad Bird’s next animated feature in partnership with Netflix.
